With a background in sculpture, Matthew’s favorite medium is beauty. His eye for transformation comes from his love of beauty through history. Known for being a quick- change artist, Matthew has the ability to morph models into endless looks with ease. He loves the result that comes from working in a creative collaborative effort and allows that process to evolve naturally. Matthew’s work has been seen in Vogue, Elle, Allure, Mod- ern Salon, Modern Salon China and was named Editorial Stylist of the Year for the 2005 North American Hairstyling Awards. For 20 seasons, he has styled backstage at New York Fashion Week for designers such as Tom Ford, Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Alexander Wang and Rodarte. Matthew’s true passion is the classic beauty and his mantra is “artistry without compromising your medium’s integrity”, making him a favorite amongst models.
